Power 2 Parkinson 5K, a small race for Grandpa Turk

The second annual Power 2 Parkinson 5K held March 7 at Sussex Academy attracted 47 runners and was won by Caleb Bradley in a time of 20:35, followed by Milan Patel in 21:58 and George Sapna in 22:40.

Emily Trout was the first female in 25:19, cartwheeling across the finish line. She was followed by Keren Rams in 26:13 and Shelley Murray in 29:02. 

The race is a school project organized by Lindsay Guida and MacKenzie Cummings in the name of Turk Despark, Lindsay and Natalie Guida’s grandfather, who was there at the race.
