I would like to take this opportunity to thank the awesome flaggers on Route 24, who bring not only safety but joy to the many drivers who pass daily through the construction zone.
It is also so wonderful to see the appreciation of surrounding residents who praise the workers on a neighborhood app. At a time of crazy traffic, it is so nice to be uplifted on the road, driving through the flaggers who always have big smiles and waves. It makes it very pleasant to drive along Route 24 when the construction zone could otherwise be a negative.
They have been working in record heat and still have a friendly smile and wave. I hope these workers are properly recognized by their employer as we appreciate their work.
