Put Season: A Letter to the Future on your wishlist for this fall
Recently, Sony held another State of Play event. These events are basically a way for Sony to cram a bunch of announcements into one day, basically like mini versions of past E3 events. There were several games shown, but today I want to focus on one; I don’t see enough people talking about. That game is called Season: A Letter to the Future.
Season is not a game filled with action or fighting; it’s a game focused on a woman named Estelle who lives in a village where seasons don’t change. She is setting out to escape and see what happens when the season inevitably ends. Her main mode of transportation is a blue bicycle, which she uses to explore her world and uncover the mysteries that surround it. Now, this is what intrigued me while watching the trailer - in order to document her findings while exploring, Estelle (the player) can use various tools - like a camera and a microphone - and everything is compiled in her journal. As someone who is passionate about both video games and journaling/papercrafting, this is right up my alley.
The game also has an open world element. While riding on your bike, it’s not completely linear; you can go down a random side road and discover new people, places, and things. I am so excited to explore the environment and meet new people along my journey. We don’t know much more about the game at this point.
Season: A Letter to the Future is coming to PS4, PS5, and PC some time this fall, and I could not be more excited. You can add it to your Steam Wishlist now.
