Rachel - the right choice for Rehoboth Beach

July 31, 2020

As the Rehoboth Beach commissioner election approaches, I urge you to carefully consider the candidacy of Rachel Macha!!

I have known Rachel and her family for 20 years. Our children attended the same school and grew up in the same neighborhood.

Rachel routinely expressed her interest in community improvements and steadfastly volunteered her services. Her energetic participation in many community enhancement projects was an inspiration to all and her enthusiasm is contagious.

Upon requesting an upgrade to the Rockford Park basketball court, Rachel proved to be a reliable partner while addressing the bureaucratic impediments. Together, Rachel and I solicited the support of DNREC, New Castle County Parks and City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation. In doing so, we established a budget, secured funding and resources necessary to complete the project.

In addition, Rachel has served on the Highlands Civic Association Officer here in Wilmington for more than five years. Of the many attributes Rachel possesses, she displays a remarkable ability to remain organized while serving her family, freinds and community. Her unique blend of personality and discipline enable her to remain a positive influence with those she serves. Her ability to listen to different viewpoints and offer alternative perspective is admirable.

I firmly endorse Rachel Macha for Rehoboth Beach commissioner and hope that you will vote for her Aug. 8 or before by absentee ballot.
