Eastern Sussex Democrats met May 7 and hosted Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice representatives Joe Lawson and Marjorie Belmont.
SDARJ is a nonpartisan organization that educates, informs and advocates for racial justice, equity and fair opportunity in the local community.
Its vision is to end racism and its corrosive consequences. Ongoing initiatives including Black Voices, a quarterly publication; monthly town hall meetings; support for compassionate release legislation; voting rights expansion; book and film discussion groups; and Dialogue to End Racism forums.
