Ralph S. Justice, retired pipefitter

Ralph S. Justice, 87, of Ocean View passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, at Cadia Renaissance Healthcare Center in Millsboro.

Ralph was born in Ocean View Jan. 12, 1932, son of the late Norman E. Justice and Helen (Melson) Justice.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1951-54 aboard the United States Coast Guard Cutter Chincoteague.

He retired as a pipefitter in 1985 with the DuPont Company in Seaford after 35 years of service.  Ralph was a faithful member of the Ocean View Church of Christ, where he personally kept the maintenance up on the church van.  He loved taking care of his car and always enjoyed a good conversation about cars.  Ralph also enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Evans; and his mother and father-in-law, James and Hilda Savage.  He is survived by his loving wife of 63-and-a-half years, Patricia A. (Savage) Justice; a daughter, Lori Koyanagi and her husband Keith of Rehoboth Beach; two grandchildren, Richard Belote of Rehoboth Beach and Heidi Belote of Milford; a great-granddaughter, Layla Brisco; a brother, Norman E. Justice of Ocean View; another great-grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews.      

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Ocean View Church of Christ, 55 West Ave., Ocean View, where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mariner’s Bethel Cemetery in Ocean View.
