RD20 Democrats to host special speaker presentation July 19
The Delaware 20th Representative District Democratic Committee will host a special speaker presentation with Karol Mason, president of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, at 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 19, via Zoom.
Mason will discuss The Future of Public Safety, a report designed to guide the national conversation on racial justice and policing in America, and provide a roadmap for communities and police to rebuild trust. A question-and-answer session will follow her presentation.
As a U.S. assistant attorney general and head of the Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, Mason was a leader in the Obama administration on juvenile justice issues, bail reform and re-entry for individuals leaving prison.
Any registered Democrat in Delaware is welcome to participate in RD20’s committee meeting. However, non-committee members must register by emailing rd20.deldems@gmail.com with their legal name and street address for verification purposes.
