Reading the Cape Gazette on the wind-carved boulders at Casibari

October 6, 2019

In July, Richard and Barbara Plambeck took their son, Christopher and his wife, Michelle down to Aruba along with their 3 teenage granddaughters, Fiona, Natalie and Elizabeth, to celebrate Christopher’s 50th birthday, as he was born in Aruba.

It was the granddaughters’ first visit there, so they visited many of the spots their parents and grandparents knew well, but also many of the newer attractions, like the Donkey Sanctuary and the Butterfly Farm.

The girls especially enjoyed snorkeling the reefs at Baby Beach, Arashi and Mangel Halto, climbing to the top of the California Lighthouse, as well as viewing the WWII wreck of the Antilla from a semi-submersible.

A great time was had by all, including the Cape Gazette!
