In early February, Cape Gazette reader Carol Zenthoefer of Lewes traveled to Sanibel Island, Fla., for the first time. Carol and her sister enjoyed their stay at a condo, just 246 steps from the beach where they could see the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The beach was filled with some of the most beautiful seashells they had ever seen and the warmth from the glorious sunshine wasn't too bad either. They shopped at the Three Crafty Ladies, a creative fabric and art store that offers many clever beach-themed kits. Also, they enjoyed some of the finest seafood of the Gulf including shrimp, fresh grouper, and excellent clam chowder.
