Rehoboth attorney appointed to ABA international committee
At the American Bar Association meeting in Toronto, Canada, attorney John Hardin “Jack” Young of Rehoboth Beach was appointed as a special advisor to the Central and Eastern European Law Institute.
Founded in 1990 to assist Eastern European countries after the fall of the Soviet Union, CEELI carries out its mission to advance the rule of law in the world in order to protect fundamental rights and individual liberties.
Young is a former member of the ABA Board of Governors and currently senior counsel to the political law and regulation law firm SandlerReiff in Washington, D.C. He is a retired adjutant professor of international and comparative election law at William & Mary Law School. He has served in a dozen countries on electoral and democracy challenges and advancement. Young received his law degrees from the University of Virginia and Oxford University.
