Rehoboth Beach recreation programs kick off June 19
During the summer months, the City of Rehoboth Beach offers recreational programming that brings creativity, activity, camaraderie and fun for children and people of all ages.
Weekly programming includes arts and craft activities for children ages 2-12 at 9 a.m., Mondays and Wednesdays, June 19 through Aug. 23, at Grove Park. From 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesdays, June 20 through Aug. 22, folks of all ages can walk or jog for the health of it with the Grove Walking & Jogging Club.
Special programming for all ages will be offered on Thursdays. Envirotech will offer hands-on environmental education activities at 10 a.m., June 22 and Aug. 3, at Silver Lake. Kite-making sponsored by Rehoboth Toy & Kite Company will take place at 9 a.m., June 29 and Aug. 17, at Grove Park.
Magic shows with Jack & Trixie are scheduled for 9 a.m., July 6 and Aug. 10, at Grove Park. Face painting will take place from 9 to 10 a.m., July 13 and July 27, at Grove Park. Storytime yoga with local author Hiba Stancofski is scheduled for 9 a.m., July 20 and Aug. 24, in Grove Park.
The city also has set up two volleyball courts on the beach at Hickman Street. The courts are available free of charge throughout the season on a first-come, first-served basis.
