Rehoboth Beach seeks community Christmas tree

August 6, 2025

It may still be the thick of the summer season, but the City of Rehoboth Beach already has Christmas on its mind, as it is seeking individuals who are willing to donate an evergreen tree to serve as the 2025 community Christmas tree.

The tree would be removed from the donor’s property and installed at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand the week before Thanksgiving. It will serve as the center of attention for the annual tree-lighting and holiday sing-along event set for Friday, Nov. 28, and throughout the holiday season.

Nominated trees should be at least 25-35-feet tall, in good health and with a nice shape. Potential donors should send tree photos to Erin Corcoran at ecorcoran@rehobothbeachde.gov. Call 302-227-6181, Ext. 523 with any questions. Spruce and Douglas fir trees make great Christmas trees, but any nicely shaped evergreen will do the job.
