Rehoboth-Dewey Chamber hosts awards luncheon

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce hosted its inaugural Awards Luncheon at the Cultured Pearl in Rehoboth Beach Dec. 13.

Delaware Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Director of Education Raelynn Grogan presented Lauren Powers with the $500 Matt Haley Scholarship. Rehoboth Beach Police Department Chief Keith Banks and Donnie Donovan of Delaware Coast Press presented Rehoboth Beach Police Department Patrolman Justin Brock with the $500 Delaware Coast Press Educational Scholarship. 

Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Carol Everhart said the chamber will host its annual awards banquet and installation of chamber board of directors 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel, 2 Olive Ave. In addition, she said awards presented that evening will include Business of the Year, Mae Hall McCabe Award, Volunteer of the Year and Lifeguard of the Year. Businesses with 50 years or more as a member will be honored.
