The exit is next to the line to enter in case you forgot something. Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market opened for the season May 26 in Grove Park. The entrance is now separated from the exit; all vendors are spaced throughout the whole park. Pat Coluzzi meets every shopper at the front gate with a squirt of hand sanitizer. Most vendors are seeing a drop in revenue this year, yet they are pressing forward with high spirits. Preordering from vendors is suggested to keep the line moving.
“We have a line the whole time we are open, but everyone is masked and respectful of the situation,” Coluzzi said. The hope is the next phase of opening will relax the guidelines for farmers markets, she said. “Farmers have been through all of the standard safety classes and are outside, and it’s probably the safest way to shop for food,” said Lenore Brady of Stag Run Farm.
The market is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday in Grove Park. Go to www.rbfarmersmarket.com for information.
