Annual tree lighting and sing-along attracts large crowd to Bandstand

The cast of Clear Space Theatre Company’s holiday show, “Scrooge,” leads singing of holiday classic songs. The show had its opening night after the tree-lighting ceremony.
John Roman Nehrbas joins the Clear Space Theatre Co. ensemble to lead the sing-along. Nehrbas has been acting since he was 6 years old and has been in seven shows.
Kelsie Murphy of Clear Space Theatre Co. takes the stage to sing “All I Want for Christmas is You,” a holiday hit made famous by Mariah Carey.
Grace Riddle, who grew up performing and singing with Clear Space Theatre Co., sings “My Grown Up Christmas List,” a song by Kelly Clarkson.
Rick and Tammy Smith, who donated this year’s 35-foot tree to the City of Rehoboth Beach, begin the countdown to light the tree for the 2021 holiday season

In costume, the cast of the Clear Space production of “Scrooge” braves the freezing-cold wind to take part in the annual tree-lighting ceremony at the Bandstand. The show takes place Nov. 26-Dec. 19. Go to clearspacetheatre.org for ticket information.
The Rehoboth Beach tree-lighting ceremony dates back to the 1980s. This year’s tree was donated by Tammy and Rick Smith, who live north of Rehoboth.
