Rehoboth museum to host historic photo review May 8

May 5, 2025

Rehoboth Beach Historical Society members and the public are invited to come help identify people and places in historic photos at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 8, at the Rehoboth Beach Museum, and online via Zoom.

The museum’s newest collection comes from Judge Jim Horn, an esteemed local resident whose father was an avid photographer and record keeper. From as early as the 1890s all the way to the 1980s, the photos tell many stories about Rehoboth including new construction, fire and storm devastation, shipwrecks and more.

Along with Horn, a panel of experts on Rehoboth Beach History will include Paul Lovett and Cory Rose.

Museum staff will display and discuss a variety of photos, and participants are asked to bring their memories, their enthusiasm and any longtime residents who are willing to help. All photos will be shown on a large screen for easy viewing. Light refreshments will be served.

Go to rehobothbeachmuseum.org and click on the events tab to register. The museum is located at 511 Rehoboth Ave., and free parking is available nearby.
