Rehoboth officials voice support for Small Business Saturday

Rehoboth Beach officials recognized the city’s business community by issuing a proclamation encouraging customers to support downtown businesses in advance of Small Business Saturday, set for Nov. 29.
Commissioner Patrick Gossett read the proclamation during a commissioner meeting Nov. 21.
“The City of Rehoboth Beach supports our local businesses that create jobs, boost our local economy and preserve our communities,” said Gossett. “The City of Rehoboth Beach joins the national effort to recognize the contributions of small businesses to the American economy, and their importance in ensuring that our local communities remain as vibrant tomorrow as they are today.”
Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce President Carol Everhart and Rehoboth Beach Main Street volunteer Carolyn Diefenderfer represented the city’s two business promoting organizations.
