RE/MAX Realtor Heather Knowles receives Alma Ashley Award

At the Sussex County Association of Realtors installation meeting Jan. 10, Heather Knowles, rental manager of RE/MAX Realty Group Rehoboth, received the 2019 Alma Ashley Award.

Given by the association annually in memory of Alma Ashley, one of the first rental agents at the Delaware shore, the award celebrates Ashley’s excellence in customer service, which created a lasting impact on the entire rental community.

Knowles grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She frequently visited her mother in Lewes and was impressed by the warmth, uniqueness and relaxed ways of the Delaware beaches. She made a move and has lived along the Delaware coast since 2008.

In 2001, Knowles graduated with honors from Sojourner-Douglass College in Baltimore where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. After graduation, she pursued a career in restaurant management.  While running a well-established local restaurant, she learned a great deal about customer service, personal management, marketing and self-growth.

Knowles  is married and enjoys spending time with her husband Cyrus and their five beautiful children. She stays very busy and loves every minute of it. Knowles is active with her local church and loves the beach, photography and traveling.
