RENEW, which stands for Reflective Essays on Nature, Earth and their Wonders, is a platform for high school students to reflect, in writing, on the unique role of youth on climate action, growing concerns over environmental injustice and their personal sense of connectedness with the natural world.
Delaware Interfaith Power and Light held its awards ceremony for 10 winning essayists with a special guest presenter, Congresswoman Sarah McBride.
The 10 winners were Aaria Allimulla, Darcy Crotty, Anwesha Kumari, Rishitha Maraka, Kara McCarthy, Mahi Nakrani, Duncan Winger, Virginia Hendrixson, Lisa Lu and Rudra Patel.
