I’ve had the privilege of working with 3rd District Sussex County Councilman I.G. Burton for many years on a variety of issues.
The seat I.G. holds is crucial for the future of our region. He is our only voice on council protecting coastal Sussex interests. From my direct experience, there couldn’t be a better representative for us than I.G. Burton.
I.G. is from one of Southern Delaware’s finest families. He is a man of integrity, compassion for others and one of the hardest-working elected officials I’ve known. I.G. is fair, persistent, reachable and highly experienced from his years as a county planner and now councilman. His colleagues on council and in key state agencies and municipalities universally like and respect him.
The values I.G. stands for, proven by his actions, include intelligent, managed planning and growth, and open-space preservation; reduced crowding and traffic; and fair treatment for all. He is committed to preserving coastal Delaware’s sense of place.
Please vote for I.G. by mail or in person during the upcoming Sept. 15 Republican primary. In a primary election, it is typical for only 10 percent of voters to participate. Your vote for I.G. Burton is critical for the future of coastal Delaware.
