ResortQuest Pro Women’s Open returns to Sea Colony

June 13, 2018

After an hour and 24 minutes on Court 23, top-seeded Grace Min defeated No. 3 seed and 2014 winner Katerina Stewart 6-4, 6-2 to become the eighth singles champion at the ResortQuest Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony, a $25,000 USTA Pro Circuit clay court event held June 3-10 at the Bethany Beach-area beach and tennis resort.

The Atlanta native earned a $3,919 payday, 50 ranking points and an Alex & Ani bracelet. Entering the tournament at world No. 197, Min dropped just a single set in five matches on her way to the tournament title. With her win, Min jumped 14 spots in the world rankings and is currently No. 183.

The singles and doubles main draws attracted nationally and internationally ranked women tennis players from nearly a dozen countries to the resort’s clay courts in search of higher world rankings and a share of the event’s $25,000 in prize money.
