Robert D. Phillips, Rehoboth native

Robert “Bob” Downs Phillips passed away from pancreatic cancer Thursday, March 1, 2012, at home in Greensboro, N.C., with his loving family by his side. He was born in Rehoboth Beach, March 3, 1937, to Emily H. and Frederick B. Phillips and is a graduate of Rehoboth High School.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jacqueline (Jackie), and their three children, Christopher R. (Donna) of Greensboro, Gregory C. (Julio) of Washington, D.C., and Sherri A. Elliott (Steven) of High Point, N.C.; five grandchildren, Thomas and Andrew Harris, Mark Phillips, S. Sager Elliott and Emily Elliott; his brother and sister-in-law, Clifford F. and Eloise Phillips of Burlington, N.C., and their four children; and sister-in-law and husband, Joan and Monroe Abram of Georgia.
