Robert Paul Eastburn, loved being on the water

May 15, 2020

On Tuesday, May 12, 2020, the Eastburn family lost their hero to the coronavirus. Robert (Bobby) Paul Eastburn, 61, of Harbeson spent three weeks in Beebe Healthcare in Lewes fighting the virus before succumbing at 9:10 p.m.

Bobby was born in Wilmington March 15, 1959. Bobby was a lover of being on the water and always made jokes about it being his office. He was happiest with the sea air in his face and a boat running him across the bay.

An open viewing will be held at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 437 N. Front St., Seaford Wednesday, May 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a small family service. There will be social distancing rules in place to keep all safe.

Bobby is survived by his mother Marylou Mullaney; his wife of 44 years Victoria Eastburn; his son Chad Eastburn; his daughter Christina Toomey and his granddaughter Jessica Eastburn. He is predeceased by his father Calvin Eastburn. His tireless love and devotion to his family were evident in his final moments.
