Robert W. Andrews, DuPont Co. retiree

Robert W. Andrews, 79, of Milton passed away Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021.  He was born Jan. 26, 1942, in Wilmington, son of the late Willard and Blanche (Fogwell) Andrews.

Mr. Andrews graduated from PS Dupont High School, class of 1960. On Aug. 3, 1963 he married the love of his life, Joan S. Andrews and together they shared 58 wonderful years.

Mr. Andrews built a lifelong career with DuPont in Wilmington, from which he retired after 37 dedicated years. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping. Mr. Andrews was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins fan. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Clemens, and by his daughter in-law, Karen Andrews. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan S. Andrews; his sons: Jeffrey Andrews and Tim Andrews; his daughter, Vicki Torres; his granddaughters: Holly Torres, Kaitlyn Burrell, and Rachel Andrews; his grandson, Steven Torres; his great-granddaughter, Aubrey Burrell; and his great-grandson, Logan Burrell.

Services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
