Rock the Boat cruises on Cape May-Lewes Ferry to start July 12
Cape May-Lewes Ferry officials will offer Rock the Boat Cruises departing every Friday evening from July 12 to Aug. 30.
Featuring great live entertainment from local favorite Glass Onion and beautiful summer evening views, the cruises depart from the Lewes terminal at 5:15 p.m. with check-in at 4:45 p.m. The ship will return to Lewes at 8:25 p.m.
“Our Rock the Boat cruises are extremely popular and are a mainstay of our summer entertainment lineup,” said Michael Porch, ferry marketing manager. “Whether you’re looking to get the weekend started in style or just need to relax and unwind, the ferry’s the place to be every Friday evening this summer!”
The cost is $18 for ages 14 and older, $14 for seniors and military, $9 for ages 6-13, and free for children ages 5 and under. The passenger fare includes round-trip walk-on passage and entertainment.
Glass Onion plays a wide range of covers of rock ‘n’ roll and R&B dance music ranging from 1950 to 2018, from Jerry Lee Lewis and the Temptations to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bruno Mars.
Plenty of delicious food and beverages will be available for passengers to purchase onboard the vessel and lido bars are generally open during each cruise.
