September 15, 2025

The Delmarva Christian soccer team fell to 0-4 on the season with a 7-1 loss to visiting Aspira Sept. 12 at Sandhill Fields in Georgetown.

The Wolves struck for four goals in the first half and three in the second. The Royals got on the scoreboard with 15 minutes left in the first half when Blake Dale found the net off a pass from Noah Barbrow.

Miguel Cabrera Caballero and Thomas Nunez-Ramirez each had three goals, while Kristopher Corona-Belliard scored one.

“I’m just proud of the effort my guys gave,” said Royals coach Luke Shiderly. “Even when some bounces didn’t go our way, we just kept on fighting and playing hard, and we are starting to find our grove. Our mental was way up today, and so for me that is a big win.”

Royals goalie Isaiah McClusky made 19 saves in the cage. Gabriel Padilla-Quiroz stopped two scoring attempts.

The Royals travel to Worcester Prep Tuesday, Sept. 1,6 while the Wolves host Odyssey Charter.
