Harrison Schlabach, James Baxter, David Sagers and Josh Strawhecker rocked the captain armband in the season finale and escorted their family members at halftime of the game.
Before the lads were announced, Chloe Wilkerson, Hayley Jones, Alyse Potter, Eve Bohinski and Libby Dawson strolled across the turf, receiving gift bags for their commitment to Delmarva Christian field hockey.
Another positive for Delmarva Christian was the announcement that 10 of their fall athletes were named to the ESIAC All-Conference team.
Jones, Bohinski and Potter were named to the field hockey squad, while freshman Olivia Balback received an honorable mention.
Juniors Jay Parrish and Isaiah McCluskey were named to the soccer team; Cam Smithson got an honorable mention.
As for the runners, Wyatt Baker made the all-conference team, and Cole Parker and Isabella Stubbs picked up honorable mentions.
The season records may not have been what they wanted, but the Royals had to push through a bit of adversity, such as playing their home games away from home, and may have learned perseverance along the way.
