It only took one point for Tessa Kwiatkowski to reach the 1,000-assist milestone in Delmarva Christian’s 25-11, 25-11, 25-15 victory over Lake Forest Oct. 13 in Felton. The Royals are now 10-1 on the season.
Kwiatkowski finished with 19 assists. Her sister Maggie finished with 10 assists and also served three aces. Sophomore Elaina Millaway slammed 11 kills. Her senior sister Ellie put down eight kills. Senior Evelyn Jensen tallied six aces, three kills and three blocks. Senior Lily Fetterman bumped 17 digs.
“Reaching 1,000 assists is a goal I have been wanting to achieve and I am very excited I got to hit that goal with such a great group of girls,” said Kwiatkowski. “Each year of high school, I have had amazing passers, liberos and hitters who have helped me accomplish 1,000 assists, but I am especially thankful for my fellow seniors that I have been playing with for so long.”
The Royals junior varsity squad moved to 7-3 with a 2-0 win.
The Royals travel to Tatnall Tuesday, Oct. 18, to face the Hornets. Lake Forest plays host to Dover.
