Ruggerio, Willson & Watson names new partner, associate
Ruggerio, Willson & Associates announced Verity Watson has been named partner and Liam McCall has joined the firm as an associate.
Based in Dover, Ruggerio, Willson & Watson LLC is a public affairs and government relations firm with a diverse client pool of large and small businesses.
The firm tackles issues and advances causes in every policy arena. Founded in 2005 by Rhett Ruggerio and expanded in 2009 with the addition of Kim Willson, the firm has consistently ranked as one of the top shops in Delaware.
Verity Watson joined the firm in 2016 after working for the Delaware General Assembly in a nonpartisan research role. In the 2022 legislative session alone, Watson was identified as the single most active lobbyist in Delaware. She aided a client in securing $16.4 million in state funding, in addition to leveraging another $25 million in federal funding to fully fund reimbursement rates to support services for individuals with disabilities.
Most recently, she was selected by the Delaware Business Times among its 40 Dynamic Leaders Under 40. Watson holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Delaware and a bachelor’s degree from Christopher Newport University. Watson grew up in Rehoboth Beach and is a Cape High graduate.
McCall graduated cum laude from Penn State University with degrees in political science and sociology. Most recently, he worked for Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings’ re-election campaign, with his primary focus in fundraising.
