Salted Vines Vineyard in Frankford to host Easter events April 14-16

Salted Vines Vineyard & Winery will host a weekend of Easter events Friday to Sunday, April 14 to 16. A Friday Night Bunny Flight set from 3 to 7 p.m. will feature four wines paired with Easter candy favorites, while supplies last. Peep Off Contest entries of imaginative or funny Peep art pieces are due at 3 p.m., Friday. Judging begins at 5 p.m., Friday, and ends at 2 p.m, Sunday. 

The winery will be open for tastings from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday. Chris Ryan will play live music at 3 p.m.

Easter in the Vineyard catered brunch will be from 12 to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 16. Mac's Catering will provide made-to-order omelets, French toast sticks, pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. Specials will include $1 off glasses of wine plus The Easter Basketini. Tickets are adults $18, kids 10 and under $10. Additional items included in child's ticket price are a cup of 100 percent pure juice, Easter egg hunt and Easter crafts. There will be entertainment from local musician Drake, final voting and the winner reveal of the Peep Off contest.

Salted Vines Vineyard & Winery is at 32512 Blackwater Road, Frankford, which is about five miles from Bethany Beach. For six years, Salted Vines operated as Fenwick Wine Cellars in West Fenwick. Last year, the owners decided to invest in a beautiful piece of farmland, which allowed them to expand and build a new, larger winery to better serve their customers and friends.
