School district’s request is befuddling

August 15, 2025

Please correct me if I don’t understand the “new” math the school district is proposing.

In March 2024, you report a $72 million request from the district. Now there is a request for $65 million. But how did the $6 million just 18 months ago, cover the pool, bus maintenance facility, admin building, classrooms and, oh yeah, purchasing land?

Something is not right. Maybe a new calculator is in order. Why is the cost at $65 million now if all the aforementioned requests have been eliminated? The district needs to provide specific details to the public.
