Seaford Kiwanis donates toys for TidalHealth Nanticoke ER
Every year at Christmastime, Seaford Kiwanis donates new stuffed animals to the TidalHealth Nanticoke emergency room.
It’s a visit that brings as many smiles today as it did when it began more than 10 years ago.
Club member Jim Thompson continued the tradition Dec. 14 when he stopped by the Seaford hospital to deliver more than 75 of the cuddly companions.
Emergency departments can be scary places for little ones, and the team at TidalHealth Nanticoke relies on the plush animals to bring a smile to a child’s face at a challenging time. Thompson said the Seaford Kiwanis is all about helping kids.
The Kiwanis Club collects and stores stuffed animals donated by local businesses to deliver during the holidays.
TidalHealth Nanticoke and its emergency department team members thank the Seaford Kiwanis Club for continuing the yearly tradition.
