Second Street Players present ‘The Big Bad Musical’ Oct. 7-9

Second Street Players will present “The Big Bad Musical,” Friday to Sunday, Oct. 7 to 9, at Riverfront Theater, 2 South Walnut St., Milford.

Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m.; Sunday’s show begins at 2 p.m. Friday night’s performance is pay what you can, donations only. Saturday and Sunday ticket prices are $5 per child and $10 per adult. All tickets are paid for at the door – no reservations.

The notorious Big Bad Wolf is being slapped with a class-action lawsuit by those who want to get even with him, including Little Red Riding Hood, her Grandmother, the Three Little Pigs and the Shepherd in charge of the Boy Who Cried Wolf. As the wronged fairy-tale characters testify, the wolf seems deserving of all that’s coming. But is he?

With the help of his lawyer, Mr. Wolf makes a good case for himself. Was he born a criminal or made one? Only members of the the audience, who serve as the jury, will decide the outcome of the biggest trial ever in the fairy-tale world.

Sydney Grimm is the commentator reporting on live Court TV; the Evil Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother, two of the greatest legal minds in the Enchanted Forest, clash in a trial that will be remembered forever after!

“The Big Bad Musical” is written by Alec Strum with music and lyrics by Bill Fancoeur.

With Second Street Players’ production directed by Tammy Crawford, this smart, wickedly funny show portrays a courtroom that has never been more lively or fun.
