Selbyville author B.B. Shamp to sign books March 15

March 14, 2019

Author B.B. Shamp of Selbyville will sign copies of her books from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 2 to 4:30 p.m., Friday, March 15, at Energy Gym on Route 54 in Selbyville.

Her suspense novel “The Grist Mill Bone” pays homage to living on Delmarva. Shamp said her readers relate to her characters and are also thrilled to read about places they know and love. Cambridge and Salisbury, Md.’s darker histories in the era of lynching and civil rights are intertwined in the characters’ quest for truth and family on the Delaware shore.

The Delaware Press Association has recognized “The Grist Mill Bone” by B.B. Shamp as a second-place winner in the adult novel category. The novel has also been selected as a finalist for the da Vinci Eye Award, a literary and artistic international recognition.

“I couldn’t be more excited,” said Shamp at her home in Selbyville on Dirickson Creek. “This may be a tribute to my writing, but it’s also a tribute to the rich culture of the peninsula. I am so lucky to find inspiration in the history, people and beauty of our lands and waterways.”
