Shields Elementary students showcase weather research
Shields students present their research to families and friends.

Welcoming parents and families to the research lab presentation is third-grade teacher Meghan Catts,
Third-grade students at Shields Elementary School recently gathered in the cafeteria with family and friends to share what they learned during their weather unit.
In each of the three classrooms, students selected a major weather event to research and write about during a six-week time frame. Blizzards, floods, hurricanes and tornados were a few of the major events selected.
At the end of the unit, parents, grandparents, families and friends were invited to Shields to watch students present what they learned.
