Shirley Anemone, devoted to family
Shirley Anemone, 85, of Millsboro, left this world Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023. Shirley was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was dedicated to her husband, Sonny, and her children. There was never a person who met Shirley and didn’t like her. She treated everyone with love, respect and affection.
She is survived by her children, Jack Anemone (Dane), Jeff Anemone (Jenna), Kevin Anemone, Denise Heil (Mitch) and Mary Anemone; her 10 grandchildren, Alyssa Martin, Brittany Falkenstein (Nick), Ashlee Heil, Casey Styers, Nicholas Heil, Melissa Styers (Aaron), Gage Anemone, Karly Anemone, Sophia Anemone and Tori Thompson. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Anemone; her son, Thomas Anemone; and her siblings, Bill, Thomas, Mary Ellen and George.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon, Sunday, Feb. 26, at Pot-Nets Lakeside Community Center, 33076 Rock Cove, Millsboro, where friends and family can come to celebrate, reminisce and tell stories about the life of Shirley. Burial will be private.
