Shore United adds experienced mortgage banker
Shore United Bank recently welcomed John Berner to its growing mortgage division.
With extensive industry experience, deep community involvement, and a passion for helping individuals and families achieve homeownership, Berner brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the team.
Sharing the personal philosophy that guides his approach to serving clients, Berner said, “I believe that homeownership is the cornerstone for family, community, and economic development. Homeownership creates a sense of pride and purpose. I love being a part of that process whether it's a first home, a 10th home or an investment property. It’s a big deal, and I treat it as such.”
Berner’s community engagement includes having served as president of Long Neck Sunrise Rotary Club, and volunteering with Oak Orchard Boys & Girls Club, Long Neck Elementary School and local roadside cleanup initiatives. He is a member of United Church – Sussex County Campus and American Legion Post 28.
Outside the office, Berner enjoys home improvement projects, golfing and fishing, passions that reflect both creativity and a love of the outdoors. He is married with three children, and he values time spent with family and community.
“We’re excited to welcome John Berner as the newest member of our growing mortgage team,” said Corey Galinsky, executive vice president, residential mortgages. “John brings strong experience and a genuine commitment to serving the communities around our Shore United branches. His focus on responsible and accessible homeownership aligns perfectly with our mission, and we’re proud to have him join us.”
