Singing at the Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire, England with the Gazette

September 28, 2018

Back in August, a one-week choral residency at Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire, England, was undertaken by 23 members of the choir of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lewes. They sang under the direction of T.J. Thomas, Minister of Music at St. Peter’s, and Jack Burnam, Minister of Music at Immanuel Church on the Green in New Castle. Some choir members from Immanuel participated as well. Ely Cathedral had its beginnings in 672 but the present building dates back to 1083. The magnificence of the structure resulted in an amazing choral experience for all involved and the singers were very well received.
