Gazette reader Denis Chandler recently returned from hanging out in Australia for three months, where he did some traveling around the East Coast. The most spectacular place he visited was Lady Elliot Island, the southernmost island on the Great Barrier Reef. It is an eco island, where snorkeling is like swimming in a giant tropical aquarium. Denis enjoyed swimming with turtles, manta rays, reef sharks, and every possible size and variety of tropical fish imaginable. The colors were just indescribable, fabulous does not begin to describe it. Denis is shown here reading his Cape Gazette while taking a break from snorkeling.
