Snyder-Hall to address 14th RD Dems July 8

July 3, 2025

The 14th Representative District Democratic Committee will meet Tuesday, July 8, at Iron Hill Brewery on Route 1 north of Rehoboth Beach.

The program will begin at 5 p.m. with a Dutch treat dinner, followed by remarks from Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall, D-Rehoboth Beach, and committee business at 6 p.m.

Now in her first term representing the 14th District, Snyder-Hall has been an active legislator, sponsoring or co-sponsoring more than 120 pieces of legislation. She’s taken the lead on bills to increase the grace period for seniors to change their Medicare supplement coverage; ensure long-term care facilities comply with state nondiscrimination law; allow Sussex County to impose impact fees on new development to pay for schools; and launch a study on better understanding into the challenges faced by moderate-income families.

“The General Assembly has passed a tremendous number of bills in this first year of the legislative session, and many should have a tremendous impact on residents in RD 14,” said Snyder-Hall, whose district covers Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach and parts of Lewes. “I love being at the table when laws are made.”

The 14th RD Committee represents Democrats who live in and around Lewes, Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach. All registered Democrats are welcome to participate in 14th RD meetings. Those planning to attend the July 8 meeting should RSVP by Sunday, July 6, to c.fruchtman@comcast.net.
