SoDel Cares donates $5,000 to Pathways to Success

February 24, 2024

SoDel Cares was founded in 2017 as the philanthropic arm of SoDel Concepts to support Delaware organizations that help children, at-risk youth and adults, and the elderly. Since then, its team members have made it their mission to use their local restaurants to support local people, donating more than $1 million to area charities.

Pathways to Success is a longtime beneficiary, and SoDel Cares recently donated $5,000 to this Georgetown organization that helps youth, adults and families become successful, responsible and productive citizens.

“Pathways to Success has done amazing work in our community,” said Scott Kammerer, the nonprofit’s founder and a member of the board of directors. “Many of the young program participants have worked with our company.”

The SoDel family includes SoDel Concepts restaurants, Surf Bagel, Southern Delaware Brewing (Thompson Island Brewing Company and Ocean View Brewing Company) and Highwater Management (The Clubhouse at Baywood).

“It is inspiring to see the influence of Pathways to Success’s mentoring and education initiatives,” Kammerer said. “The young adults who come out of their programs are great employees, and we are happy to support the work of this deserving organization.”

Grant applications are accepted from Oct. 1. to Dec. 15 each year.
