Somewhere holds onto Best Margarita bragging rights
Temperatures were cool, clouds were blocking the sun and there was a threat of rain, but more than 1,000 people still participated May 31 in Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s annual Margarita Crawl.
From one end of Rehoboth Beach’s commercial district to the other, two dozen restaurants participated in the event, as restaurants created all kinds of takes on a margarita. Many of the participants wore silly outfits, necklaces with pretzels or colorful beads around their necks.
The event is centered around fun, but the two dozen restaurants were competing for Best Margarita, which was won by Somewhere. The Baltimore Avenue restaurant also won most creative. Coming in second was Siricco, while there was a tie for third between the Purple Parrot and Shorebreak Lodge. Kiwi’s Cove won the Best Mock Margarita competition.
