Soundbite Sunday kicks off oyster week events Aug. 3

July 27, 2025

Inland Bays Oyster Week 2025 will kick off with Soundbite Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 3, at West Side Creative Market, 19826 Central St., Rehoboth Beach. The free-admission event will include a vibrant fusion of culinary creativity, imaginative artists and genre-bending live music. All ages are welcome.

Noted local chef Hari Cameron will serve up oyster-inspired dishes that highlight the bounty of Delaware’s Inland Bays, and a variety of other food offerings will carry out the oyster theme. A full selection of craft cocktails, beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages will be available at the Developing Artist Collaboration Donation Bar to complement the cuisine. A portion of proceeds goes to support area artists.

Some of the area’s most creative artists will be selling oyster-specific, original artwork in a variety of mediums. All artists will have an interactive experience available for all ages. The event will also feature a live jazz performance by the Jackie Johnson Trio.

Normal food and beverage pricing applies, so guests can enjoy the festivities at their own pace and budget.

Inland Bays Oyster Week not only highlights the culinary delights of locally grown oysters, but also emphasizes the importance of sustainable aquaculture practices in the region. It aims to connect the community with local farmers and educate attendees about the environmental benefits of oyster farming.

IBOW25 runs through Thursday, Aug. 7, and includes activities that benefit the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays; learn more at inlandbaysoysterweek.net.
