St. Jude to host women’s day of reflection March 27

March 15, 2020

St. Jude The Apostle Parish will host a Ladies Lenten Day of Reflection  from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, March 27, in its parish hall, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes.

The guest speaker will be Marie Joseph, executive director of the Legacy of Life Foundation, a pro-life nonprofit supporting crisis pregnancy centers in Philadelphia. Joseph and her staff work with women who are considering abortion when faced with an unplanned pregnancy. Their unique approach to counseling has proven results in saving over 2,500 families from aborting their children.

Participants can attend confession and Mass, and take time for group and personal reflection and adoration. A light continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be included. Attendees must register in advance due to limited space, and a suggested donation of $25 is requested to defray event costs.

Registration forms are available at www.stjudelewes.org/reflection; they can also be requested by emailing leeannaugustinemac@gmail.com or calling 302-644-7413, or visiting the parish office during normal business hours.

Joseph taught for 17 years in Catholic education, from elementary school at a parish level to college professor at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia. She is the mother of two children and knows firsthand the challenges of single motherhood. She has a passion for the Catholic family and evangelization, bringing others into a better understanding and knowledge of the real treasures of the Catholic Church.
