St. Peter’s Episcopal Church sets Christmas services
With Bishop Kevin Brown in attendance, Diocesan Lessons and Carols will feature the Choir School of Delaware at 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 21.
The Longest Night service is set for 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 22. With prayer and contemplative meditation, the gathering welcomes people experiencing isolation and sadness who may feel disconnected from the spirit of the seasonal holidays.
Services on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 24, are at 3:30 p.m., a Godly Play Christmas with Holy Eucharist, especially intended for children and young families; 5:30 p.m., Christmas Lessons and Carols with Holy Eucharist; 8 p.m., Festal Holy Eucharist with parish choir; and 11 pm., Festal Holy Eucharist with parish choir and incense.
The Christmas Day service will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 25. The spoken service will include Holy Eucharist with baptism.
St. Peter’s welcomes all to celebrate the hope and joy of the Christmas season.
