State reports 98 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths
The Delaware Division of Public Health reported 98 additional positive cases of COVID-19 June 29 with two deaths. There are 64 individuals currently hospitalized, 13 of whom are critically ill.
The most recent deaths announced ranged in age from 77 to 83. One individual was female, and one was male. Both individuals were long-term care residents of New Castle County.
A total of 509 Delawareans have passed away due to complications from COVID-19. They ranged in age from 21 to 104 years old. Of those who have died, 269 were females and 240 were males. A total of 244 individuals were from New Castle County, 89 were from Kent County, and 176 were from Sussex County.
The latest Delaware COVID-19 case statistics cumulatively since March 11, provided as of 6 p.m., Monday, June 29, include:
- 11,474 total positive cases
- New Castle County cases: 5,065
- Kent County cases: 1,690
- Sussex County cases: 4,681
- Unknown county: 38
- Females: 6,346; Males: 5,109; Unknown: 19
- Age range: 0 to 104
- Currently hospitalized: 64; Critically ill:13 (This data represents individuals currently hospitalized in a Delaware hospital regardless of residence, and is not cumulative.)
- Delawareans recovered: 6,667
- 99,407 negative cases
