State restaurant group names new director for marketing, communications
The Delaware Restaurant Association recently announced the appointment of Elizabeth Mantey as its director of communications and marketing, heralding an important step in the organization’s continued growth and strategic evolution.
For decades, the DRA has stood alongside restaurant operators, navigating legislative changes, workforce challenges and economic shifts as they arise. As the hospitality landscape grows more complex, the association is strengthening its communications and advocacy infrastructure to better serve its members and elevate the voice of Delaware’s restaurant community.
“Elizabeth joins the Delaware Restaurant Association at a defining moment for our industry,” said CEO and President Carrie Leishman. “As we elevate our advocacy efforts and deepen engagement with our members and communities, it is critical that we clearly and consistently tell the story of restaurants not just as places to dine, but as career pathways, community anchors and one of Delaware’s most vital economic drivers. Elizabeth brings the strategic mindset and storytelling expertise needed to strengthen our voice and expand our impact.”
In this role, Mantey will lead statewide communications strategy, strengthen member engagement, amplify industry advocacy, and support partnerships across Delaware’s business, tourism and workforce communities.
“I am honored to join the Delaware Restaurant Association and the Delaware Restaurant Foundation at such an exciting time,” said Mantey. “The hospitality industry is built on resilience, creativity and connection. I look forward to helping amplify the voices of our operators and telling the stories that showcase the essential role restaurants play in communities across Delaware.”
Built for operators and focused on strengthening Delaware’s hospitality industry, the DRA remains committed to innovation, advocacy and long-term sustainability for its members. This leadership addition reinforces that commitment.
