Stockley Tavern fundraiser to benefit breast cancer coalition Nov. 4
Stockley Tavern will host its fourth annual Bags, Booze & Boobs fundraiser in support of breast cancer awareness starting at 12 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, at 26072 Dupont Blvd., Georgetown.
This year’s event will once again benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, an organization dedicated to providing crucial support to individuals in diverse communities who are recently diagnosed or currently battling breast cancer in Delaware. Its mission is to ensure that those with low incomes or little to no insurance can access free or reduced-cost care, making a significant impact on the lives of countless individuals and their families.
Stockley Tavern will be transformed into a hub of activity and enthusiasm Nov. 4, with a wide range of exciting events and activities for attendees to enjoy. Among the highlights of the day will be a cornhole tournament, expertly hosted by Delaware Cornhole; a guest bartender competition; silent and live auctions brimming with unique items and experiences, such as man basket rides courtesy of First State Crane; and an enticing 50/50 raffle that promises an opportunity to win big. All tips from the guest bartending competition will be donated, and Stockley Tavern will match the funds raised by the winning team with the the most tips. DJ Brian K Hall from The Vault will serve as emcee and play great music all afternoon
Last year, this event raised an impressive $98,000 in support of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition’s vital work. This year, organizers have set their sights even higher, hoping to surpass that remarkable achievement and make an even more significant impact on the fight against breast cancer.
Those who are unable to attend in person can still contribute to the cause by supporting the vision of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition through regular screenings. Early detection is key, as it significantly improves the chances of survival when dealing with breast cancer. By getting screened regularly, individuals can play a pivotal role in safeguarding their health.
