Student Nurses’ Association at Delaware Tech holds food drive

December 16, 2018

Each year, Delaware Technical Community College Student Nurses’ Association sponsors the Clash of the Classes food drive between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Classes engage in fierce competition with each other for bragging rights as champions of the competition. This year, more than 3,000 nonperishable items were donated to Delaware Tech’s food pantry at the Georgetown campus and Wesley United Methodist Church in Georgetown.

More than 10,000 items have been collected and donated since the competition began four years ago. This year, the winning class donated a whopping 65 nonperishables per student. Winning classes have their class numbers and sections engraved on the Clash of the Classes plaque, which is on display in the nursing hallway at Delaware Tech’s Georgetown campus.
