Suburban Farmhouse in Milton expands to bistro

Dough bar to serve pizza May 24
May 23, 2019

The Suburban Farmhouse at 108 Federal St. in downtown Milton recently announced its expansion as a fully functioning bistro. No longer just a sweet, cozy coffee shop, the venue now has over 30 seats, brand-new exhaust fans, and high-tech equipment.

Breakfast offerings include hot sandwiches, French toast, breakfast burritos and pancakes which are served late into the day. Lunches and dinners include cold and pressed sandwiches and salads. A pastry counter is sure to delight every sweet tooth with daily pastries and novelty items including gluten-free and keto-friendly options baked on site.

The most exciting change is the dough bar, an artisan, make-your-own pizza and potato bar, which allows individuals young and old to choose their own crusts, and all their own veggies and meats. Patrons can choose from traditional thick or thin store-made crusts, keto and gluten-friendly crusts, or dive into a hot oil and sea salt rubbed baked potato, then head down the bar and select from 20-30 favorite meats, cheeses, veggies and sauces.

Suburban Farmhouse owners are excited to launch this brand-new venture in town while still providing the southern hospitality they have offered since guests first stepped into the store in October 2017.

The dough bar will officially begin serving the public with pizza and potatoes at 11 a.m., Friday, May 24.

New hours to take effect Memorial Day weekend are 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday, and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
